Mouse Melons
Seeing is believing, like something out of a fairytale. A wee cucumber looking like a mini-watermelon. THE CUTEST.
Mouse melons, also known as Cucamelons or Mexican Sour Gherkins, are Native to Mexico and Central America. Crunchy and tart, they’re perfect for snacking right off the vine. They also make great pickles and cocktail garnishes. Be patient as they can be a bit slow to start, but once they get going they’re very enthusiastic and will often regrow from underground tubers. This vigorous vining plant grows well on a bamboo trellis.
Start indoors or direct sow in full sun when warm.
